1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Glyphi mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download, install, or use the App.
2. License to Use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use the App on mobile devices owned or controlled by you in accordance with these Terms and the App Store Terms of Service.
You agree not to:
- Modify, decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble the App.
- Rent, lease, lend, sell, or distribute the App.
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
3. User Content
Glyphi allows you to import documents (such as PDFs, EPUBs, and web pages) for speed reading purposes. You retain all ownership rights in the content you import.
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary licenses, rights, and permissions to use the content you import.
- Your content does not infringe the copyright, trademark, or any other intellectual property rights of any third party.
All imported content is stored locally on your device. We do not inspect, monitor, copy, or back up any of your imported content.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Certain features of the App are locked behind a Premium subscription ("Premium").
- Billing: Premium is billed on a subscription basis (monthly or annually) via the Apple App Store.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Management: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your Apple Account Settings.
- Refunds: Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies.
- EULA: Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). You can find the terms of the Standard EULA at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Glyphi or its developers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses arising from your use of the App.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.
